Eco Resort & Wellness Spa Pokhara
A luxury 14-key eco-resort overlooking Fewa Lake in Pokhara, built using local slate stone, bamboo structures, and passive solar heating.
Project Overview
Set on a hillside overlooking Fewa Lake and the Annapurna mountain range in Pokhara, this boutique eco-resort merges sustainable hospitality architecture with natural mountain topography. Cottages are positioned along natural contours to preserve existing trees and maximize panorama views of Machhapuchhre peak.
The Client Brief
Develop a low-impact wellness retreat with 14 luxury villas, an infinity pool, yoga shala, and organic restaurant.
Design Challenge
High monsoon rainfall and steep hill slope required robust drainage planning and zero soil erosion construction techniques.
Design Concept & Solution
Villas were built on raised steel stilts with stone retaining walls, utilizing local Pokhara slate for roofing and rainwater harvesting tanks under each deck.
Final Architectural Outcome
Awarded the SONA Green Architecture Honor in 2025 and featured in regional travel and design publications.
